At Kintsugi, we warmly welcome Albie Salvatore to the team, an experienced healthcare executive who has delivered meaningful growth and scaled early sales teams at some of the most notable healthcare enterprises today including Athenahealth, Blink Health, and Cedar. Prior to joining Kintsugi, Albie was the VP of Partnerships at Cedar where he impressively expanded complex deals with health systems with at least $1B of patient revenue. He has also held noteworthy sales leadership roles at Blink Health as the VP of Clinical Technology Sales where he was responsible for implementation and account growth, and at Athenahealth where he progressively grew his early career as the Director of Enterprise Sales and was awarded Presidents Club 8 years in a row.
“Albie has an athlete’s mindset: unrelenting work ethic, team player mentality, and in it to win. He’s intelligent, charismatic, and curious–and we couldn’t ask for a better person to learn from.”
Grace Chang, Founder/CEO
We sat down with Albie to get his take on his first week
We’re thrilled you’re here, you’ve led an extraordinary career, how did we get so lucky?
I am equally as thrilled to be here. When I first met Grace and Rima and got to hear the story of how Kintsugi came about I was immediately hooked. I was at a point in my career where I wanted to be somewhere I could feel passionate about, Kintsugi was just that. The fact that it has such a strong market fit is really a huge bonus, passion and market fit is a dream for a sales executive.
What surprised you about Kintsugi and why now?
What surprised me, is that there are not a lot of competitors in this space, and that the timing is ripe for someone to step up and solve the early detection problem in mental health. Behavioral / Mental health has been a problem for a very long time, and has drastically gotten worse over the past 2 years. Kintsugi is onto something really special, and I wanted to be a part of that.
What do you hope to learn from your new teammates?
I am very interested in our data models and how we are analyzing them. I have always been somewhat of a “Techie”. The amount of knowledge and talent here is truly impressive. I am really excited to dig in more with the science and technology side of our business.
Fun fact?
I spent my summers on Martha’s Vineyard throughout college, and became Walter Cronkite’s go-to waiter/bartender at his favorite restaurant.
Thank you for entertaining our questions and welcome to the team, Albie!
Kintsugi is on a mission to scale access to mental healthcare with world-class leaders who represent the makeup of the people we serve. With significant expertise in sales, leadership, and scaling organizations, we could not be more excited to have Albie as a partner in building toward our vision for the future of healthcare.
