The Role

As the Director of Growth, you will lead the charge in driving Kintsugi’s commercial growth strategies and execution. This pivotal role will drive go-to-market initiatives across Customer Success, Customer Insights and Discovery, and selected Marketing and Sales functions. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in leadership roles within early-stage health tech startups, combined with a strong skill set in C-suite communications, financial modeling, and executive-level presentation development. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Development, you will ensure seamless alignment between strategic goals and operational execution while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth trajectory of a company poised to make a lasting impact in mental health care. 

Kintsugi offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work. The expected base salary for this position will range from $175,000 - $210,000 in addition to equity. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Growth Strategy:
    • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive company growth and achieve revenue targets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Customer Success Leadership:
    • Refine and scale the Customer Success function to ensure exceptional client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
    • Lead customer engagements from pilot through commercialization, focusing on delivering value and building strong relationships.
  • Customer Insights and Discovery:
    • Conduct customer discovery calls with healthcare executives to gather insights into needs and opportunities.
    • Translate market and customer feedback into actionable strategies and product improvements.
  • Marketing and Sales Support:
    • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and impactful customer acquisition and conversion opportunities.
    • Create high-quality collateral, case studies and presentations to support business development and executive-level communication.
    • Develop financial models demonstrating the value and ROI of Kintsugi for prospective customers.
  • Leadership and Project Management:
    • Lead cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role at an early-stage health tech startup.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities.
  • Expertise in creating and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Startup mindset - ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment:
    • Flexible, adaptable, and able to wear multiple hats and take on challenges outside of defined role.
    • Agile and able to make decisions with imperfect information.
    • Willingness to take risks and learn from mistakes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mental health, wellness, or a related healthcare field.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Passion for improving mental health care access and outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare (payer, provider, and life sciences) and in particular value based care.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies and tactics for innovative products or solutions.
