Kintsugi was awarded an NSF award to better define voice biomarker features for a deep reinforcement learning based system. The broader impact/commercial potential of this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I project is to use voice as a real-time measurement of mental health.

Kintsugi uses voice biomarkers to measure and predict well-being, uniquely positioning them to help the strained mental healthcare system during the pandemic. Their Work Together Talent Grant will help support a first-of-its-kind study on video-based group and peer therapies for vulnerable populations, hospital workers, and others impacted by COVID-19.

Kintsugi was awarded an NSF grant to continue to advance a voice biomarker technology that can serve as fast behavioral health diagnostic, potentially superseding the current paper-based PHQ-9 and GAD-7 tests.
